Steve Carette (Austrailia)

Hi, I live in Australia and wanted to let you know that Attex's made it to the "Land Down Under". In 1973-74 a car dealership imported a whole heap and sold them. Not sure where they all went to. My dad still has the one he purchased in 1974 (440 Thunderchief) and several years later, he bought a 500 Superchief Lil' Truck off a guy in PA. (David Burres)

My dad solved the problem with our Superchief and Lil truck from breaking down after 15-20 minutes of driving around on a beach. He ended up relocating the condensers and coils (see picture attached) to get them away from the heat of the engine. We drive it a lot on the beach and sometimes the sand is real soft and the engine really works hard to get through it. Anyway, we worked out that the compartment inside the Chaparral cover is way too hot (hot enough to burn skin) to house the electrics. We took it for a very tough run after my dad relocated everything and it worked fantastic! Phew!!! What a relief. Well, it has been good talking to you and again congratulations on a fantastic website!

Kind Regards,

Steve
