The McKay Family...

  I got the priveledge of meeting with 2 of the McKay brothers on 7-31-04. Just in the event that you own a MAX or an ARGO, and you are out of the Attex loop, and you don't know who these Guy's are... Well they are just 2 of the son's of the legendary Attex genious, Ray McKay who owned Attex from 1976 through 1983 in East Palestine. Ray McKay was also responsible in bringing us the legendary Big Foot, along side of Howard Gerber. (check out the Big Foot page) Both of them were champion Attex racers, and have many, many pictures and trophies as proof. Pictured below is Randy's all original RIM. He stated that although it is not "THE" 1st one that was ever produced by Attex, It is among one of the 1st 5 that were hand built. And below that is Ron's Springer with an original RIM body. Pictured holding the framed race flyer is Randy in His original Attex Springer. After much conversation, it was discovered that I own Randy's old Springer. These hard working Guy's took time out of their drilling Rig's to share alot of quite interesting Attex history with me.
