Dave,

We talked late last year about my 6x6. It said 500 Superchief on the body but the frame appeared to be a 292. It was in disrepair when I bought it for next to nothing, but the body was in great shape. The motor had been replaced with 9hp Briggs sometime in the past with a mini bike clutch rigged with a # 35 chain to a sprocket on the t20.  The axels all had a 5 bolt hub (crap) welded to the 3 bolt flange. All the sprockets were replaced by same guy that welded the axels. I had a local machine fab new hubs for and sprockets, new five bolt axels and all new bearings. The t20 was rebuilt as well as the brake shoes relined for the service brake.
After disassembly the only parts to be reused was the body and frame. I could not find a way to fit a 22hp honda under the stock hood without cutting a hole. I ended up with a 13hp Honda - electric starter, 18 amp charging - small, but it fit. A custom motor mount and a Comet Torque converter set up for the 3900 rpm 4 stroke. I changed the final drive ratio to match the new motor.(per Joe Haser) I used a NOS muffler and heat shield and used the stock gas tank mounted up front.
This thing is a blast to drive. It runs smooth and the Comet Torque converter has a 3.77 to 1 low with a .89 to 1 high that will idle around the woods all day and still dust the kid next door on his scooter.
Thanks for all your help as well as the web site during the rebuild of this machine.

Thanks Again, Doug
