David:

I finally got some time to look at your website. Very impressive! I have a few things that might help. Ray McKay and Jack Gould were very successful business men in their own right, founding McKay and Gould Drilling. Ray, Howard, Terry Lake and I (Chuck Leach) formed RIM. Later Terry and I sold our interest in RIM to Ray. Sometime after that Ray purchased Attex. Terry Lake was from Monroe, MI. He was a regional director for NATVA and played a vital roll in the expansion of NATVA in our early days. Terry owned and operated a tire store and also was a dealer for one of the ATV manufacturers.
RIM was conceived and organized by Howard Gerber, Ray McKay, Terry Lake and myself. Howard Gerber did all of the engineering and design work with input from Ray, Terry & myself. Terry and I both sold out to Ray McKay before we actually went into production. Our original plans were to set up production facilities in the New Bethlehem area. After selling to Ray he moved the pre-production operations to Ohio. I believe he later entered into an arrangement with MAX to build the RIM bodies. The Big Foot was created by Ray McKay and HowardGerber.

Chuck Leach,

Founder of NATVA
